Minimum Temperatures Recorded Today in Jammu, Kashmir and ladakh
Kashmir Region: The Kashmir Valley experienced freezing temperatures, with Shopian being the coldest spot at -5.5°C. Other notable low temperatures included Pahalgam at -5.3°C, Anantnag and Pulwama at -5.0°C each, and Larnoo at -5.2°C. The hill station of Gulmarg recorded -3.6°C, while Sonamarg and Zojila were frigid at -4.9°C and -18.0°C, respectively. Srinagar, the summer capital, dipped to -2.1°C.
Jammu Region: Jammu’s plains saw milder conditions, with the city recording 8.6°C. Hill stations like Banihal and Bhaderwah registered 1.2°C and 1.0°C, respectively. Padder faced sub-zero temperatures at -4.3°C, while other areas like Samba, Rajouri, and Udhampur remained above freezing, ranging from 4.0°C to 7.3°C. Data for Reasi remains unavailable.
Ladakh: In the union territory of Ladakh, severe cold prevailed. Leh recorded -9.6°C, closely followed by Kargil at -9.8°C. Drass’s temperature details were unavailable.
