PROPERTY OF NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLER WORTH LACS ATTACHED

Awantipora Dec 12 :- Continuing its Operation against drug peddlers Awantipora Police today attached a single-storied, residential house valuing approximately 25 Lacs belonging to a notorious drug peddler namely, Tajamul Masoodi S/o Late Badrudin Masoodi R/o Bagander, Pampore under section 68-F of NDPS Act 1985.

This residential house was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of enquiry conducted by SHO Police Station Pampore, Inspector Naieem Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Pampore, Shri Krishan Rattan, which was accrued from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic Substances by the said drug peddler.The said Drug peddler is also involved in many FIRs.

It is pertinent to mention here that the said drug peddlers is currently detained under PIT-NDPS Act and lodged at Central Jail Kot Balwal Jammu.

This operation reaffirms the commitment of Awantipora Police to combat the drug menace. Local people of the Pampore area hailed the initiative of Awantipora Police with regard to the attachment of immoveable property which has been raised from illicit trafficking of narcotics by the drug peddlers in the Police District Awantipora.
