Pakistan Fast Bowler Hasan Ali Issues Emotional Statement For First Time Since Dropped Catch- Read Full Statement Here

Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali has issued a public statement for the first time since the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2021, in which Pakistan lost to Australia by five wickets to mark the end of their fabulous campaign. In what turned out to be the final over of the match, Ali dropped an easy catch of Australia batter Matthew Wade, who then smoked three sixes in three balls to win the match for his team.

Many fans and former cricketers blamed Hasan Ali for not keeping his cool at the crucial moment, but a lot of them also sent him good wishes. In his statement, Ali also thanked the fans who stood with him in the difficult times.

Here’s The Hasan Ali’s Full Statement:

“I know you all are upset because my performance didn’t meet your expectations but not more disappointed than me. Don’t change your expectations from me. I want to serve Pakistan cricket at the highest level possible, so back to hard work. This patch will make me stronger. Thank you for all the messages, tweets, posts, calls and duas (prayers) – needed them.”

Hasan Ali got emotional but he also got support from his fellow teammate, Haris Rauf:

Pakistan enjoyed one of their most successful campaigns in the T20 World Cup this year and had qualified for the semifinals after comprehensive wins over arch-rivals India, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia.

But they came up just short against Australia, who won their fifth successive ICC knockout game against Pakistan to reach the final.
