Pakistan Fast Bowler Haris Rauf Issues A Strong warning to Team India Ahead Of The Clash In October
"It is my home ground because I play for the Melbourne Stars, and I have an idea of how the conditions play out there. I've already started planning on how I would bowl against India," he said.
India and Pakistan are all set to take on each other for the third time in a year as the two teams will open their campaign at the T20 World Cup 2022 on October 23. Rohit Sharma-led India and Babar Azam-led Pakistan have been in the same Group (Group 2) and will play their first match at the Melbourne Cricket placedGround (MCG). It is expected to be a high-voltage match as both teams would want nothing less than a win.
Meanwhile, Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf has issued a warning to the Indian team ahead of the T20 World Cup opener, saying that he will have special plans for Rohit Sharma’s side on his ‘home ground’ in Melbourne on October 23.
“It is my home ground because I play for the Melbourne Stars, and I have an idea of how the conditions play out there. I’ve already started planning on how I would bowl against India,” he said.
Pakistan’s star speedster further said that the cricket matches between India and Pakistan are always high-pressure games, but he is now used to the hype and just focusing on his game, so he is ready for the high-octane clash of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 at the MCG.
Haris Rauf said in a press conference in Lahore:
“The match between India and Pakistan is always a high-pressure game. Whoever the opponent is, it’s always a high-pressure game. During the World Cup last year, I was feeling so much pressure. But in the past two matches in the Asia Cup, I didn’t feel much of it because I knew I just had to give my best.”
The pacer added, “If I give my best, they won’t be able to play me easily. For the upcoming World Cup match, I’m very happy because it is at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It is my home ground because I play for the Melbourne Stars and I have an idea of how the conditions play out there. I’ve already started planning of how I would bowl against India.”
Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets — for the first time in a world tournament — in the last edition of the T20I World Cup in UAE. But recently in the Asia Cup, India secured a clinical five-wicket win before losing to Pakistan in the ‘Super 4’ stage.
