NEET PG 2022 Latest Update: Amid growing demand among aspirants and medical fraternity to postpone NEET PG 2022, sources told news agency ANI on Thursday that several states have shown less interest to pursue such a course and hence, there are slim chances for such a decision.
Last week, the Press Information Bureau had also said that this year’s NEET PG exam has not been postponed, and will happen on the scheduled date of May 9, and termed a circular on social media ‘fake’. The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) had cautioned the aspirants and other stakeholders against false and bogus information being circulated in its name.
The clarification from the NBEMS came after a section of the media reported that NEET PG exam this year was postponed to July 9.
Speaking to ANI, IMA president Dr Sahajanand Prasad Singh said they met Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in Kevadia in Gujarat.
“We met Union Health Minister and discussed with him the postponement of NEET PG 2022. He said only seven states want to postpone and we are looking into it,” Dr Singh said.
However, The Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to list for hearing a plea seeking postponement of NEET-PG 2022 to be conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE). Notably, the Supreme Court has taken cognizance of the matter and agreed to take it up for an urgent hearing.
A Bench led by Justice DY Chandrachud is expected to hear the matter on May 13 (Friday), claimed reports. For the unversed, there has been a growing demand for the postponement of NEET PG 2022 owing to the delay in the NEET PG 2021 counselling process.

Postpone NEET PG 2022 has once again become a trending topic as aspirants push for the postponement of the postgraduate medical exam due to not having enough time to prepare. Aspirants have claimed that due to the delay in the NEET PG 2021 counselling process resulting in very little gap before the exam and the end of the counselling process.
The students’ association further highlighted that the difference between NEET PG 2022 date and NEET PG 2021 counselling is too less for a student to prepare for the exam leading to stress amongst them.

Recent reports suggest that a group of medical aspirants have written to Union Health Minister seeking NEET PG postponement.
Several NEET UG aspirants have started trending NEET UG 2022 on Twitter, demanding the postponement of the exam till September. Currently, NTA has scheduled the NEET exam for July 17, 2022. Candidates are asking for the postponement of the exam due to shortage of time to prepare. Further, candidates are stating that the board exams will end in June. So, they will have a very limited amount to prepare for the NEET UG 2022.

A large section of students are now demanding postponement. They want adequate time to prepare for the medical entrance which held once every year unlike the JEE Mains.
