JKSSB Announces 292 Vacancies in J&K Power Department
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement Notification No. 02 of 2025, inviting applications for 292 posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical) across various corporations under the Power Development Department.

Eligibility Criteria:
Domicile Requirement:
Applicants must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid domicile certificate issued before the last date of application submission.
Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025):
The maximum age varies by category:
- Open Merit (OM): 40 years
- SC/ST/RBA/ALC/IB/EWS/OBC: 43 years
- Physically Challenged Persons: 42 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 48 years
- Government Service/Contractual Employment: 40 years
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications as per the recruitment rules, which are detailed in Annexure-A of the notification. Only those who meet the prescribed qualifications by the cut-off date will be considered.
Reservation & Fees:
- Candidates applying under reserved categories must upload valid category certificates at the time of application.
- Application Fees:
- ₹600 for Open Merit (OM) candidates
- ₹500 for SC/ST/EWS/PwBD candidates
- Payment can be made online via Net Banking, Credit, or Debit Card
