Based on lunar calculations and moon sighting predictions, experts suggest that there is over a 90% chance of the Shawwal crescent being visible on the evening of March 30, leading to Eid on the following day.

Eid-ul-Fitr is observed on the 1st of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. The sighting of the new moon (hilal) determines the exact date. According to astronomical data, the crescent moon is expected to be easily visible in various parts of India and Pakistan on the evening of 30th March after Maghrib prayer. This suggests that Eid will most likely be on 31st March 2025.
