Jammu and Kashmir Government Assigns Additional Responsibilities to IAS Officer 

The General Administration Department (GAD) of Jammu and Kashmir issued Government Order No. 2012-JK(GAD) of 2024 on November 30, 2024, detailing a new administrative assignment.

According to the order, Mr. Santosh D. Vaidya, a 1998 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre and currently serving as the Principal Secretary to the Government in the Finance Department, has been given additional responsibilities.

In addition to his current roles, including serving as the Administrative Secretary for the Information Technology Department, he will now also take on the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Jammu & Kashmir e-Governance Agency (JaKeGA).

This arrangement will remain in place until further instructions are issued, emphasizing the government’s efforts to streamline administrative efficiency.
