Talking to The Kashmir Walla, an uncle of the militant, Nazir said that Amir Siraj never contacted the family for the last six months since he went missing. “In the audio, the person speaking to his father is speaking in a south Kashmir accent. The person in the audio is addressing his father as Aba, and his mother as Boba. My nephew used to address his father as Abu ji and his mother as Mummy. It is not my Amir’s voice,” he said.
An audio purported to be a telephonic conversation between Amir Siraj and his father is viral on social media and reported by some sections of the national media, in the audio a person can be heard saying to his father that it was his wrong choice to be with the militants. The person is also heard as saying that he was cheated as some guys clicked his pictures with a gun a made it viral.

The uncle of the killed militant denied all the contents of the conversation as a “complete lie”, “Though I have not heard the audio clip, I can tell you that the telephonic conversation is totally fake as we have not spoken to Amir since he has gone missing. There is no truth in the conversation that is being shared.”

During the gunfight we were at our sister’s house for the whole day, we had no idea about the gunfight till 5 pm. At around 5:30, the concerned SHO called us and told us to identify the dead body of Amir.”
