World Record Created By This Team After Scoring Highest Team Totals In ODIs, Twitter Went Into Meltdown
England creates a world record for highest team totals in ODIs by scoring 498/4 against the Netherlands
England hit a world record one-day international score of 498-4 against the Netherlands in Amstelveen on Friday, with three men scoring centuries in the run blitz.
Eoin Morgan’s side beat their own mark of 481-6 set against Australia at Trent Bridge in 2018, in the first match of the three-game series.

Netherlands won the toss and took the decision to bowl first which backfired and the likes of Buttler and Livingstone made most of the reckless bowling display from the home team.
Despite losing Jason Roy in just the 2nd over of the day, England got off to a blistering start thanks to knocks from Salt and Malan. Both of them struck hundreds while the show stealer was Jos Buttler, who smashed 162 off just 70 balls, that included 7 fours and 14 sixes.
At one stage, he looked to set to get to his first double hundred in ODI cricket. However, with two wickets falling in quick succession in form of Malan and Eoin Morgan, Liam Livingstone came to the crease and smashed a fifty. He played most of the balls from thereon and Buttler did not get enough balls to reach his milestone.
Here are some of the best reactions.
They've only gone and done it again!

WORLD RECORD: England surpass the highest ever ODI team total. They set 481/6 against Australia at Nottingham in 2018. In the first match of their first ever bilateral series against the Netherlands, they have set a new ODI record. #NEDvENG
