Notably, David Warner has been at the helm of very harsh treatment by the SRH management ever since the team derailed this year in IPL 2021. Earlier, in the first leg, he was stripped of the captaincy of the franchise and Kane Williamson was named the skipper of the side for the remainder of the IPL 2021 ahead of their 7th game of the tournament this year.

After being left out of the SRH playing XI in their final league game against MI, David Warner came up with an emotional message for the SRH fans as he has already played his final game for the franchise. Ahead of IPL 2022, a mega auction will take place which will allow the franchises to retain just one overseas player and hence, SRH might not go ahead with Warner.

I can’t thank you all enough for the support shown. It’s been a great ride. My family and I are going to miss you all!! #respect #cricket #hyderabad One last effort today”
