Big blow For Pakistan Ahead of Second Test Against Australia
Pakistan has been dealt a big blow ahead of the second Test against Australia as pacer Khurram Shahzad has been ruled out of the ongoing series due to injury.
The pacer has suffered a stress fracture in his rib and an abdominal muscle tear, PCB has confirmed in a statement that was released on their website on December 21.
“Following his complaint, after the Test match, Khurram was sent for an MRI scan,” said the PCB, adding that further details will be shared in due course after the medical panel assesses the MRI reports.
The second Test is scheduled to be played at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from December 26-30.
