The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are under an orange alert due to expected heavy rainfall today. Additionally, states such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, and Konkan are under a yellow alert for rain. This rainfall is anticipated to bring a slight chill to these regions
Cold Wave in North India:
As temperatures begin to drop, a cold wave is expected to affect parts of North India by October 25. Currently, Delhi NCR is experiencing a rise in temperatures, with a maximum of 34°C and a minimum of 19°C forecasted for today.
Warnings for Fishermen: Fishermen are advised to stay away from the Arabian Sea due to forecasted winds of 35-45 km/h.
Future Rainfall Predictions:
From October 21 to 25, the IMD has warned of heavy rainfall in states including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, and Maharashtra. The orange alert for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands will remain in effect during this period.
