Weather Advisory Issued Due to Forecast of Severe Weather Conditions
The Office of the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama has issued a weather advisory in response to forecasts from the Indian Meteorological Department predicting heavy rainfall, lightning, hailstorms, strong winds, cloudbursts, and thunderstorms from April 18th to 20th, 2025.

Residents of Pulwama have been urged to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary and exercise caution due to the dangerous weather conditions. People living near the Jhelum River, its tributaries, and nearby streams have been specifically advised to avoid water bodies and halt activities in such areas until the weather improves.
Additionally, boatmen are instructed not to attempt crossing the Jhelum River at ferry points without first confirming safety conditions.
