The former Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni showcased his mastery by smashing Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya for a hat-trick of sixes at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Dhoni walked in to bat with Chennai at 186/4 in 19.2 overs after Daryl Mitchell fell prey to Hardik Pandya and went on to smash three sixers off the first three deliveries he faced. The World Cup winner picked up a double off the last ball to finish unbeaten at 20 off just 4 deliveries.
By then, the crowd had lost it’s voice. The Shor-Meter was hitting the roof.
Fans immediately went ballistic and started waxing lyrical about the Dhoni special.
“Thala forever” said one user, while another commented: “That was Mayhem Singh Dhoni in full flow at the Wankhede. No better sights in world cricket than Dhoni hitting ’em big.”
