University of Kashmir Announces Recruitment for Geography Department – Apply Now

The University of Kashmir has released a brief advertisement (Notice No. 03 of 2025, dated 02.04.2025) inviting online applications from eligible domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The recruitment is for three positions in the Department of Geography & Disaster Management.

Available Positions:

1. Cartographer (PGD-GR-19)
   • Pay Level: 6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)
   • Vacancy: 01 (UR)
   • Qualification: M.A./M.Sc. in Geography with minimum 50% marks and a 6-month certificate/diploma in RS & GIS/Geoinformatics.
   • Desirable: Proficiency in Digital Cartography.
2. Surveying Assistant (PGD-GR-20)
   • Pay Level: SL3 (₹16,900 – ₹53,500)
   • Vacancy: 01 (UR)
   • Qualification: M.A./M.Sc. in Geography with minimum 50% marks.
   • Desirable: Proficiency in Advanced Surveying, including Total Station and DGPS.
3. Photographer (PGD-GR-21)
   • Pay Level: 5 (₹29,200 – ₹92,300)
   • Vacancy: 01 (UR)
   • Qualification: M.A./M.Sc. in Geography with minimum 50% marks.
   • Desirable: Proficiency in Photogrammetry and Image Interpretation.
