Teacher Salary Hike: Big News! 3 Times Increase In The Salary Of teachers, Money Will Also Be Given For Holidays Of This State

CM informed that these teachers will be entitled to 5% annual increment on their salary every year. BA Pass Education Provider (Associate Teacher) who was earlier drawing Rs 9500 salary will now get Rs 20500. All people will now be able to work till the age of 58 and the money for everyone’s holidays will not be deducted.

In a major relief to 12,700 contractual teachers whose services were regularised recently by the state government, Chief Minister today announced up to three-time increase in their emoluments and other benefits.

Salary revision

  • Teachers getting Rs 9,500 will now be paid Rs 20,500
  • ETT & NTT-qualified teachers to get Rs 22,000, up from Rs 10,250
  • BA/MA, BEd degree-holders to get Rs 23,500, against Rs 11,000
  • IEV volunteers, who are paid Rs 5,500, will get Rs 15,000

As per the statement, “The teachers will now be referred to as associate teachers and special inclusive teachers. In addition, the teachers are said to be ruled by the policy for the Welfare of Adhoc, Temporary Teachers, Contractual, and other employees in the School Education Department”.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann (CM Punjab)  stated that the salaries of the regularized teachers will be determined based on their educational qualifications and the initial eligibility criteria for entering the service. These emoluments will remain fixed until the teachers complete 58 years of service. Additionally, Mann mentioned that these teachers will be eligible for an annual salary increment of 5 per cent.

The chief minister said BA pass education providers (associate teachers) who were hitherto getting Rs 9,500 per month will now get Rs 20,500 as an emolument whereas such teachers with ETT (elementary trained teachers) and NTT (nursery teacher training) qualifications will get Rs 22,000 as compared to the salary of Rs 10,250 at present.

Similarly, teachers with BA, MA, and B.Ed degrees who are at present getting a salary of Rs 11,000, will now get an emolument worth Rs 23,500. Inclusive education volunteers will now get Rs 15,000 instead of Rs 5,500, Mann said.

Education volunteers who till now were getting a salary of Rs 3,500 will be paid Rs 15,000, said Mann, adding that the teachers under the EGS (employment guarantee scheme and the AIE (alternative and innovative education) who are getting emolument worth Rs 6,000 will now get Rs 18,000.
