Strong winds wreaks havoc, leaves houses damaged in different parts of Kashmir Valley, Manzoor Ahmad demands compensation

Srinagar,May 25 : DDC Member Aripal TraL Manzoor Ahmad ganie on Thursday expressed grave concern over the loss of property and Crops and at many places due in Kashmir due to the windstorm.

Manzoor Ahmad in a statement on Thursday evening said that windstorm caused heavy damage to residential houses, fruit trees, cars and other vehicles. He said that government must depute teams to assess the losses immediately and apparently compensate those who suffered looses due to heavy wind storm.

He said that administration should direct the concerned officers of the Agriculture and Revenue authorities to assess the quantum of losses so that volume of compensation and relief to be provided to the victims could be worked out.

Meanwhile manzoor Ahmad appealed to the LG administration to provide immediate compensation to affected who suffered heavy loss due to strong winds.
