Siraj coming to eat Shoaib Akhtar’s legacy’: India speedster clocks 181.6 kmph on Speedgun against Australia
Day 1 of the second Test between India and Australia was dominated by the host nation at the Adelaide Oval. A technical glitch showed Mohammed Siraj bowling an 181.6 kmph delivery. The incident happened in the 24th over of Australia’s innings. Siraj’s final delivery displayed a record-breaking speed.

On the fifth ball of the over, Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne pulled out of the strike due to a distraction by a fan near the sight screen. Siraj was upset and threw the ball to the wicket-keeper, leaving the batter in shock.
India managed 180 runs in the first innings. Nitish Kumar Reddy was the highest run-scorer, with 42 runs coming from his bat. Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket for the team. For Australia, Mitchell Starc picked up 6 wickets, while captain Pat Cummins and Scott Boland dismissed two batters each, respectively.
Australia were 86/1 at the stumps stumps, with Labuschagne and Nathan McSweeney batting well. Although Australia trail by 94 runs, they have nine wickets in hand.
For India, Jasprit Bumrah, Siraj, Harshit Rana, and Reddy will have to bowl well on Day 2.
