Rohit Sharma Named Captain of India’s T20 Squad For Series Against New Zealand, Virat Kohli Rested

Rohit Sharma is all set to take over as the captain of the Indian T20I team from the upcoming series against New Zealand. The squad for the series was officially announced on Tuesday, with Virat Kohli, who has stepped down from T20I captaincy, being rested.

Pacers Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and spinner Ravindra Jadeja have also been given much-needed rest for the short series. However, Pandya, who didn’t actually provide an honest picture of his fitness status has been dropped from the squad.
