Rainfall Update: River and Tributary Water Levels in Kashmir || Check Here

The Irrigation & Flood Control Department of Kashmir has released the latest update on river and tributary water levels across the region as of 9:00 AM today. The report indicates that all major water bodies remain well below the danger mark, with no immediate threat of flooding.

River Jhelum Status:

  • At Sangam, the water level stands at 3.80 feet, against a warning level of 21 feet and a danger level of 25 feet.
  • Pampore recorded a level of 0.26 meters, well below its critical threshold of 4.5/5.0 meters.
  • At Munshi Bagh, the Jhelum flows at 6.83 feet (safe against the 18/21 feet levels).
  • Asham reported 5.09 feet, while
  • Wullar Lake is measured at 1575.80 meters, still below the full level mark of 1578.00 meters.

Tributaries’ Water Levels:

  • Vishow Nallah at Khudwani is at 2.75 meters (below the alert level of 7.75/8.50 meters).
  • Rambiyara Nallah at Wachi registers 0.33 meters, far below its danger point.
  • Lidder Nallah at Batkoot is currently flowing at 0.45 meters.
  • Doodhganga Nallah at Barzulla shows 1.07 meters, and
  • Sindh Nallah at Doderhama is at 1.00 meter, both well within safe limits.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, and while current levels are stable, the public is advised to stay updated through official channels, especially in the event of further rainfall.
