Police arrest doctor for assaulting his estranged wife, relatives
Police arrested a doctor for assaulting her estranged wife and her uncle while three culprits involving in the attack are still at large.
The incident occured at Chinar Coloney Kanipora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police official identified the arrested doctor as Dr Jahangeer Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Bhat.
He said three accused identified as Umar Farooq Bhat, Abdul Rashid Bhat of Khanyar and Abbas Hussain of Chattabal who trespassed, attacked and molested the lady doctor and her aged parents and relatives are still at large while an FIR vide number 125/2020 stands registered against them.
“My former husband along with three assailants forcibly barged into my house and tried to dislodge me from the house, when I resisted, they assaulted me, my parents and uncle. I have registered a complaint.
My former husband who is a Radiologist has been arrested while 3 assailants are evading arrest,” the lady doctor told News Agency KNT and sought stringent punishment for the culprits.
