PM Kisan Yojana Latest Update: The Mandi administration has been recovering the disbursed PM Kisan Samman Nidhi amount back from farmers who were found ineligible for it. As many as 5,980 farmers registered for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme were found ineligible. Of these 2,081 were taxpayers. Official sources said so far, the district administration had recovered around Rs 1.7 crore amount from ineligible farmers, while Rs 1.76 crore is still pending.

Talking to The Tribune, Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Mandi, Ashwani Kumar said that during investigation, it was found that 5,980 farmers registered for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme were not fulfilling the criteria to get the amount. There are certain parameters to cover farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.

“After identifying the ineligible farmers in the district, now the process of recovery is underway to collect the disbursed amount of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi from them. Of the total 5,980 ineligible farmers, 2,081 farmers were taxpayers,” he said.

As per various media reports, the next installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be released this month. Hence farmers must regularly check beneficiary status as well as beneficiary list to confirm if they will get Rs 2000 or not. Who is eligible for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana (PM-KMY)

All Small and Marginal Farmers (SMFs) in all States and Union Territories of the country, who are of the age of 18 years and above and upto the age of 40 years, and who do not fall within the purview of the exclusion criteria as mentioned below, are eligible to avail the benefits of this Scheme by joining it.

Who is excluded?
According to the PM kisan website, below are the persons who are not eligible to this pensions scheme.

• SMFs covered under any other statutory social security schemes such as National Pension Scheme (NPS), Employees’ State Insurance Corporation scheme, Employees’ Fund Organization Scheme etc.
• Farmers who have opted for Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan Dhan Yojana (PMSYM) administered by the Ministry of Labour & Employment
• Farmers who have opted for Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapari Maan-dhan Yojana (PM-LVM) administered by the Ministry of Labour & Employment
• Further, the following categories of beneficiaries of higher economic status shall not be eligible for benefits under the scheme:
• All Institutional Land holders; and
• Former and present holders of constitutional posts
• Former and present Ministers/ State Ministers and former/present Members of Lok Sabha/ Rajya Sabha/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils,former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
• All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government Ministries/ Offices/Departments and their field units, Central or State PSEs and Attached offices/ Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees)
• All Persons who paid Income Tax in last assessment year.
• Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession by undertaking practice.

How to apply for PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?

To apply for PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers can register them through the official website, i.e. pmkisan.gov.in. Farmers can also approach the Nodal Officer of PM-Kisan Yojna appointed by the state government or they can also go to the nearest Common Services Centres (CSC) and can apply online for the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna.
