PM Kisan next installment date announced: Check details

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a significant initiative launched by the Government of India in 2019 to provide financial assistance to eligible farmer families. Under this scheme, each farmer family receives an income support of Rs 6,000 per year, distributed in three equal installments directly into their bank accounts, ensuring that the funds reach the intended beneficiaries without any intermediaries.

Upcoming 18th Installment

The 18th installment of the PM Kisan scheme is scheduled to be released on October 5, 2024. This installment continues the government’s commitment to support farmers financially.

Eligibility Criteria

While the PM Kisan scheme aims to support small and marginal farmers, certain categories are not eligible for benefits. These include:

  • Institutional landholders.
  • Individuals holding constitutional posts or who have served as ministers or members of legislative bodies.
  • Serving or retired government employees with a pension exceeding Rs 10,000.
  • Professionals such as doctors, engineers, and lawyers who paid income tax in the last assessment year

This structured approach ensures that the benefits of the PM Kisan scheme are directed towards those who genuinely need financial assistance, thereby promoting agricultural welfare in India.
