PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 15th Instalment Check Status Online: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 15th instalment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Scheme) from Khunti, Jharkhand on November 15, 2023. A total of Rs 18,000 crore will be transferred directly to the accounts of around 8 crore farmers. The total amount transferred to beneficiaries since the launch of the scheme is expected to exceed Rs 2.80 lakh crore.

What is PM Kisan?

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a new Central Sector Scheme to provide income support to all landholding farmers’ families in the country to supplement their financial needs for procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities as well as domestic needs. Under the Scheme, the entire financial liability towards transfer of benefit to targeted beneficiaries will be borne by Government of India.

PM Kisan Yojana Benefits

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, all landholding farmers’ families shall be provided the financial benefit of Rs.6000/- per annum per family payable in three equal installments of Rs.2000/- each, every four months.

All landholding farmers’ families, which have cultivable landholding in their names are eligible to get benefit under the scheme.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Objective

  • With a view to augment the income of the Small and Marginal Farmers (SMFs), the Government has launched a new Central Sector Scheme, namely, “Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAmman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)” in the current financial year.
  • The PM-KISAN scheme aims to supplement the financial needs of the SMFs in procuring various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields, commensurate with the anticipated farm income at the end of the each crop cycle.
  • This would also protect them from falling in the clutches of moneylenders for meeting such expenses and ensure their continuance in the farming activities.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: e-KYC mandatory 

eKYC and active bank accounts are mandatory to receive the 15th instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.

According to the PM Kisan website, “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PMKISAN Portal or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC.”

Step 1: Visit official website of PM-Kisan
Step 2: Click on eKYC option available on right side of the page
Step 3: Enter Aadhaar Card number, captcha code and click on search
Step 4: Enter the mobile number linked with the Aadhaar card
Step 5: Click on ‘Get OTP’ and enter the OTP in the specified field

When will beneficiary receive Pm Kisan 16 installment

As per the scheme, it is released every four months, 15th installment is released in November, it can be expected to release 16th installment in between February to March. The issuance of the next installment is not fixed and may vary.

Here is how a farmer can register to avail benefits under PM Kisan yojana

Step 1: Visit pmkisan.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the option of Farmers Corner
Step 3: Click on the ‘New Farmer Registration’ option
Step 4: Select Rural farmer registration or urban farmer registration
Step 5: Enter Aadhaar number, mobile number, select state and click on ‘ Get OTP’.
Step 6: Fill in the OTP and proceed for the registration
Step 7: Enter more details such as select state, district, bank details and personal details. Enter your details as per Aadhaar.
Step 8: Click on ‘Submit for Aadhaar authentication’
Step 9: Once your Aadhaar Authentication is successful, enter your land details, upload your supporting documents and click on save
