IND vs PAK: 'No-ball given because Virat Kohli asked', Pakistan fans slam umpires, says Babar Azam and Co were CHEATED

India vs Pakistan match in T20 World Cup at the MCG was one for the ages. Chasing Pakistan’s 160, Virat Kohli brought down the equation to 16 runs in the last over after he smacked Haris Rauf for two back-to-back outrageous sixes on the last two balls of the penultimate over. Left-arm off-spinner Mohammad Nawaz was given the task to defend 16 runs. On the very first delivery, he got Hardik Pandya out. DK was the next man to walk in and he happily took a single and brought the in-form Kohli back on strike.
With 14 needed off 3 balls a controversial waist-high full-toss call by square-leg umpire Marais Erasmus (which he did not review), which went for a six from Virat Kohli’s willow that was followed by three bye runs after Kohli was clean bowled by Mohammad Nawaz on the free-hit, allowed India to achieve the 160-run target off the final ball after they required 16 runs off the last over.
Nawaz had started the last over brilliantly when he dismissed Hardik Pandya (40, 37 balls, 1×4, 2×6) and then conceded three runs off the next two balls, before the drama unfolded.
The Pakistan fans on social media were left furious by the umpires decision alleging that Babar Azam and his side were ‘cheated’ and the umpire only gave the no-ball because Virat Kohli asked for it from the umpires
Mohali 2011 DRS decision.
Melbourne 2022 no ball decision.
Cheating on both occasions.

No ball given just because Virat Kohli demanded. There was no review 👎#PAKvIND pic.twitter.com/Lu5wYOQs6x

Virat Kohli was out of the crease and ball was at his waist height, bowler was also spinner, so the ball had to be under waist height. It was a wrong no ball and Virat was clean bowled on the very next ball, if he is not out due to a free hit, then there should be a dot ball. pic.twitter.com/TtfAfLVm1f

The only reason the no ball was called was because as soon as he hit it, Kohli ran to the umpire to complain.

After Karthik was stumped by an alert Mohammed Rizwan, Nawaz bowled a wide and Ravichandran Ashwin scored the most important boundary of his career. ‘Chak De India’ reverberating around the MCG never sounded sweeter and Kohli seemed numb. He punched ground, took a long walk back, showed thumbs up to the crowd having restored India’s supremacy at a global event.
