Officer Among Four Soldiers Killed In J&K Gunfight

A gunfight between terrorists and security forces in the Desa forest area of Doda district, Jammu division, has resulted in the deaths of four soldiers. The incident, which occurred on Monday evening, began when the security forces received a specific input about the presence of terrorists in the area.

Upon their arrival, the terrorists opened fire, prompting a heavy retaliation from the security forces.

During the initial exchange of fire, five security personnel, including four soldiers and a policeman from the special operation group, were injured and subsequently hospitalized. Unfortunately, the four soldiers, including an officer, succumbed to their injuries. The injured policeman is currently undergoing treatment.

Additional forces have been deployed to the area, and the search operation is ongoing to neutralize any remaining threats.
