NEET 2021 Cheating: Father Paid Rs 50 Lakh to Get Daughter Seat in Medical College, Both Arrested

Varanasi police have arrested a father-daughter duo in reference to the NEET examination solver gang. According to the police, the daddy had linked with the gang to assist get his daughter a seat in a reputed medical faculty. He had allegedly paid Rs 50 lakh for a similar.

Police investigation revealed that Gopal Vishwas, a resident of Dhulai district of Tripura in Varanasi admitted that he had contacted Tripura’s Pradipta Bhattacharya and Mrityunjay Devnath to get his daughter admitted to the medical course. The deal was mounted for Rs 50 lakh.

This gang used to make proxy candidates take exams. An professional or a medical pupil would impersonate as a category 12 pupil to take the medical entrance examination, as per the plan. This plan was busted in NEET 2021 when Julie Kumari, a pupil of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), was caught taking the examination on the place of one other pupil.

The gang used to acquire usernames and passwords of scholars and modify them so another person can take the examination on behalf of the scholar. They used to additionally make adjustments to admit playing cards, pictures have been morphed, copies of e-Aadhar have been made to guarantee entry of proxy candidates into examination centres.

Varanasi police commissioner A. Satish Ganesh instructed information company PTI that that is the primary arrest of a candidate in the NEET solver gang case.

The Uttar Pradesh Police in its investigation has discovered that at least 25 students could be involved in an exam solver gang or impersonator racket. To examine the position of impersonators, pattern fingerprints crammed on the shape have been obtained and have been matched to that of all candidates.
