Multiple Records Broken By S Yadav, Suryakumar Yadav Also Breaks Mohammad Rizwan’s World Record
Suryakumar Yadav breaks Mohammad Rizwan’s world record of most sixes in any calendar year in T20Is
In the first T20I of the three-match series between India and South Africa, Indian middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav was on fire once again. The 32-year-old right-handed batter continued from where he last left off against Australia on Sunday (September 25) in Hyderabad and scored his eighth T20I fifty. He remained not out on 50 runs from 33 balls and helped India bounce back from the early departures of skipper Rohit Sharma (0) and number three batter Virat Kohli (3).
Surya broke Pakistani batter Mohammad Rizwan’s record of most sixes in a calendar year. Rizwan had hammered 42 sixes in 2021, but now Surya has moved a step ahead of him and now has a total of 45 sixes to his name in 2022.

Multiple records for Suryakumar Yadav in India’s big win:
Suryakumar Yadav became the highest run-scorer for India in a calendar year in T20Is during the first T20I against South Africa in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday.
Suryakumar Yadav continued his incredible run in T20Is in 2022, completing more than 700 runs in the format in the year. His tally of runs in T20Is in 2022 is a record for an Indian batter with Suryakumar going past Shikhar Dhawan’s 689 runs in 2018 in the format.
What makes his record even more outrageous is the fact that Yadav has scored these runs at a strike rate of more than 180 and an average more than 40.
Yadav also went past Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan to record the most sixes in any calendar year in T20Is. Rizwan held the record for his 42 sixes in 2021 with Martin Guptill also smashing 41 sixes in 2021.

Yadav is up to second position in the latest MRF Tyres ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings with 801 rating points after his half-century in the third and final T20I against Australia in Hyderabad
The Indian side is hoping the batter to perform the same and even better in the major upcoming event the T20 International World Cup 2022.
