More Rain, Snow Expected in Kashmir

Srinagar: The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain and snowfall over the higher reaches of north and central Kashmir between March 25 and 27.

According to officials, the weather will stay mostly dry on March 24, thoughà cloudy conditions are expected in the afternoon. However, starting March 25, light rain and snow may occur in scattered areas at higher elevations.

A more significant spell of light to moderate rain and snowfall is anticipated from the afternoon of March 26 until the evening of March 27, particularly in north and central Kashmir. Additionally, some areas may experience thunderstorms and gusty winds during this period.

From March 28 to April 3, the weather is expected to remain dry. Authorities have advised travelers, tourists, and transporters to plan accordingly. Farmers have also been urged to suspend agricultural activities on March 26 and 27.
