Man staged his own disappearance recovered by Jammu and Kashmir police with in 24 hours
Udhampur, June 03: Based on the written complaint lodged by one namely Panjabu R/O Junglegali stating that his son had been missing under suspicious circumstances and gus clothes were found adjacent to path en route his home from link road, a missing report was entered in the records of PP Tikri.
A special police team was constituted by SSP Udhampur to be supervised by AdSP Udhampur led by DySP Hqrs. Udhampur and assisted by SHO PS Rehambal and IC PP Tikri that swung into action and raided at some suspected places for the search of said person.
Police party minutely inspected the spot where his clothes were found, but the evidence did not suggest any kind of struggle and police had ruled out kidnapping/Murder after conducting preliminary investigation.
Police team tracked his location by utilizing human and technical intelligence and finally got the information that he was in Khalda, Sukal Gali area (Udh-Reasi Border).
Acting on specific leads, police team was able to recovered the missing person within the 24 hours after the complaint.
During the further investigation, accused person broke down and confessed that he had staged his disapperance by pretending that he was kidnapped/murdered by his sister in law namely Shano w/O Santhoku Ram R/O Jungle Gali as the accused person had some dispute with her and his brothers since long and recently she had filed a civil suit against him and found that the said person also borrowed around 1.5 lac from locals during marriage of his daughter and was finding it difficult to repay the amount leading him to devise this plan.
