Man arrested four days after new born baby found abandoned in Ganderbal village

Ganderbal, Aug 17: Police on Monday arrested a man four days after a new born baby was found abandoned in Goriwan village in Lar area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district last week.

An official told to KNO that a person namely Mir Suhail son of Ghulam Nabi Mir, a resident of Behama, Ganderbal was arrested after credible evidence was collected by a special investigation team.

He said that SIT was constituted after the new born baby was found abandoned in Goriwan village last week.

He said that accordingly a case FIR no. 62/202 under section 317 IPC was registered in police station Lar.

“During the course of investigation it came to fore that Suhail was found involved. Today he was arrested and further investigation in the case is going on,” he said.
