Major Rules Changing From Today: From Transaction Charges to LPG gas Cylinders- Check Here Major Rules That Will Change From Today
Several rules pertaining to banking, financial and other sectors are changing from today (Tuesday, February 1). Since these new rules are set to impact the day-to-day lives of a common man and hence it is important to know more about these changes in detail.
These are the major rule changes that will affect the common man starting from today (February 2022)
- SBI IMPS transaction Charges
The State Bank of India (SBI), from February 1, has increased the limit from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh for money transactions via Immediate Payment Service (IMPS). The SBI website reads that the bank will charge you Rs 20 + GST, for IMPS transactions between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 5 lakh. The charges will be effective from February 1, 2022. The charges for remitting money thorugh IMPS using SBI Anywhere Personal below Rs 2 lakh is however Nil.
- Minimum Balance rule change in Punjab National Bank (PNB):
From today (February 1), Punjab National Bank (PNB) is all set to charge Rs 250 fine if EMIs or other installments are not settled in time due to a lack of money in the account. The penalty amount has changed from Rs 100 to Rs 250.
- Bank of Baroda Positive Pay
Bank of Baroda is going to make changes in its cheque payment rules from February 1, 2022. It will be mandatory for BoB Customers to make Positive pay confirmation for payments made via cheques above Rs 10 lakh.
Note: This will only apply to cheque transactions over Rs 10 lakh.
- LPG Prices
Oil marketing companies revise the prices of LPG on the first day of every month depending on the crude rates in the international markets. There is a possibility that once again LPG prices may see a change depending on the price of crude in the international market. An announcement about the same is expected soon.
