Major Relief for J&K Employees as Govt Grants Quasi-Permanent Status

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through the General Administration Department, has officially declared the services of certain members of the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service as quasi-permanent. This announcement was made via Government Order No. 587-JK(GAD) of 2025, dated May 16, 2025.

As per Rule 3(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Temporary Service) Rules, 1961, the decision formalizes the employment status of selected individuals, providing them with greater job stability under quasi-permanent status.
