LPG Cylinder price hiked, Check how much you’ll have to pay for a cylinder now
NEW DELHI: The Indian Oil Corporation has left the price of non-subsidised LPG cylinders unchanged at existing levels on January 1. However, the commercial customers will have to shell out an additional Rs 17 per cylinder.
With effect from January 1, the price of non-subsidised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders remained at Rs 694 per cylinder (14.2 kilograms) each in Delhi and Mumbai, according to Indian Oil Corporation’s (IOC) website. Commercial customers will now have to shell out an additional Rs 17 per cylinder.
19 kilograms LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1349 in Delhi after the hike. In Kolkata, it will cost around Rs 1,410 (an increase by Rs 22.50) while it would cost Rs 1,297.50 in Mumbai (an increase by Rs 17). Meanwhile, a 19 kilograms LPG cylinder has become costlier by Rs 16.50 in Chennai and would now cost Rs 1463.50.
Indian Oil is the country’s largest fuel retailer, supplies LPG. The government gives 12 cooking gas cylinders (14.2 kgs) each to households in a year at a subsidised rate.
