LPG Cylinder Price, Bank Holidays, Aadhaar Card and Driving Licences to See Changes With Effect from 1st June
Starting 1st June, numerous regulations will undergo modifications concerning LPG cylinder usage, bank holidays, Aadhaar and driving licences. Here is a list of significant alterations set to be implemented next month:
LPG Cylinder Prices Set to Change: Anticipated Reduction Following May’s Commercial Cylinder Price Drop
As part of the monthly adjustment practice, oil companies are gearing up to announce new LPG cylinder prices on 1st June. Following a decrease in commercial cylinder rates in May, expectations are high for another potential price cut next month. This regular revision in prices impacts consumers nationwide, shaping household budgets and expenditure on essential cooking fuel
Bank Holidays: RBI’s Schedule Marks 10 Days of Closure.
As per the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) official holiday list, banks are slated to remain closed for a total of 10 days in June. This count encompasses Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays, aligning with regular closures. Additionally, special holidays such as Raja Sankranti and Eid-ul-Adha will also contribute to the shutdown period. It is important to note that holiday arrangements may vary across different states.
Changes in driving licence rules
Starting 1st June, 2024, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways introduced fresh guidelines for acquiring a driving licence. Under the new regulations, individuals can now undergo driving tests at private driving training centres instead of government RTOs. These centres are authorised to conduct tests and grant certifications for licence eligibility.
Under the updated regulations, the government aims to phase out approximately 900,000 older vehicles and enforce more stringent car emission standards. Additionally, there will be increased fines for traffic violations. In instances where a minor is found driving a vehicle, the fine will be set at ₹25,000, and the vehicle owner’s registration may also be revoked.
Aadhaar Card Updates
If you’re looking to update your Aadhaar Card, the deadline for doing so is 14th June. Updates can be completed online. However, if you opt for an offline method, a fee of ₹50 per update will be applicable.
