Kashmir Weather Update: Fresh Western Disturbance Brings Snowfall to Higher Reaches, Plains to See Light Snow

A fresh Western Disturbance has started to impact Jammu and Kashmir, bringing with it the possibility of snowfall, especially in the higher altitudes of the Kashmir Valley. Areas like Ganderbal and Bandipora’s higher reaches are expected to witness snowfall today.

The weather system is expected to intensify from tonight, with the potential for snowfall extending to some plains by tonight or early tomorrow morning. There is a 40% chance of light snowfall in these lower regions, and a moderate spell may affect a few areas with a 20% chance.

The Jammu region is not expected to see significant weather changes, but the Kargil district may experience light to moderate snowfall over the next 36 hours.

Weather conditions are expected to improve in Jammu and Kashmir by tomorrow afternoon. Following this, dry weather is likely to dominate the region for the next 10 days.
