Kashmir: Teacher Suspended for Harassing Female Student

Baramulla, Oct. 29: In a shocking incident, a teacher in the Trikanjan Primarily school in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district has been suspended following allegations of harassing a female student.
Reliable sources told that the suspension came after a complaint was lodged by the victim (name withheld) against the said teacher for inappropriate behavior during classroom activities.
Upon receiving the complaint, a comprehensive investigation was conducted by a designated team, which subsequently led to the matter being escalated to the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Baramulla.
Reliable sources, familiar with the investigation, informed News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the teacher was suspended after the allegations made by the student were found to be true.
Furthermore, it has been discovered that the teacher has faced other similar complaints in the past, adding another layer of concern to this troubling incident.
Meanwhile, an official at the CEO office, Baramulla, also confirmed to News Agency Kashmir Scroll that a pending inquiry into the matter of a teacher (name withheld) posted at Trikanjan has been suspended with immediate effect. He said during this period the said teacher will be attached to the CEO office, Baramulla. (KS)
