JKSSB Releases Tentative Seniority List of Employees for 2025
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a tentative seniority list for employees under its establishment, effective as of January 1, 2025. This move follows Office Order No. 169-SSB of 2023, which had finalized the seniority list as of January 1, 2023.

The updated list comes in light of promotions and retirements that have occurred since the last update. The JKSSB emphasized that maintaining a current seniority list is a regulatory requirement.
A fresh tentative list has now been prepared, assigning positions to officials based on merit and available records. This list is available as Annexure “A” to the circular. Any employee with objections or grievances regarding their placement can submit a formal representation, along with supporting documents, to the Secretary of the JKSSB at its Central Office in Jammu or Srinagar within 21 days of the circular’s date (April 7, 2025).
If no objections are received, the Board will treat the tentative list as final. However, dates of birth mentioned in the list are subject to verification through official service records and matriculation certificates.
The notice was issued under Circular No. 101-SSB of 2025 and signed by Atul Kumar, Secretary of the JKSSB.
