Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a revised waiting list for the recruitment of 855 Junior Engineer (Civil) posts in the Public Works (R&B) Department. The revised list was released after reviewing a representation from a candidate, Mr. Nissar Ahmad Wani, who claimed that his name was unfairly excluded from the original waiting list despite securing higher marks than the last selected candidate under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category.
Final Selection and Initial Waiting List
The recruitment process for Junior Engineer (Civil) UT Cadre was advertised under Notification No. 06 of 2022 dated 11th November 2022, with 855 vacancies distributed among different categories as follows:
JKSSB issued the final selection list for these posts on 21st February 2024, followed by the waiting list on 24th June 2024. The waiting list was then forwarded to the Public Works (R&B) Department for further action.
