JKSSB Cancels Withheld Recommendations for Sub-Inspector Posts

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially canceled the withheld recommendations of two candidates for the position of Sub-Inspector in the Police (Home Department). The decision follows their failure to submit the required EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificates within the stipulated time.

As per Notification, JKSSB had finalized the selection list for these posts. However, in the revised selection list issued on July 27, 2024, two candidates—Vishav Pratap Singh and Parveen Kumar—were required to submit valid EWS certificates to confirm their eligibility.

Despite multiple notices, including a final reminder on September 9, 2024, both candidates failed to provide the necessary documents. Consequently, during the 295th Board Meeting, JKSSB decided to cancel their withheld recommendations.

This cancellation applies to the recruitment process initially advertised under Notification No. 06 of 2021, dated October 21, 2021. The decision has been formally documented and communicated to the relevant authorities.
