Jammu and Kashmir Government Announces Transfers and Postings Of Senior Police Officers
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through its Home Department has announced fresh transfers and postings of police officers in the interest of administration. The changes come into effect immediately, aiming to strengthen law enforcement and streamline departmental functioning.

As per Government Order:
1. Shri Ramesh Kumar Bhat, currently awaiting posting in the Home Department, has been appointed as Staff Officer to IG Armed/IR Jammu, filling an available vacancy.
2. Shri Farooq Ahmad Lone, SP (Stenography) at the Crime Headquarters, J&K, is transferred to ZPHQ Kashmir, where he will serve as SP (Stenography), also against an available vacancy.
In addition, the following IPS officers are relieved from their additional responsibilities related to Special Investigating Units:
- 1. Shri Shahid Mehraj Rather, DIG Armed Kashmir.
- 2. Shri Haseeb-Ur-Rehman, DIG Railways, J&K.
