The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is the main education board of J&K. The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education is an autonomous body and functions under the administration of the Jammu and Kashmir state government. The board is also referred to as Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education, i.e. JKBOSE.
The main role of J&K board is to conduct the Class 10, 11 and Class 12 board exams. Apart from that, the JKBOSE is also responsible for providing affiliations, discovering talent and nurturing, enhancing the quality of education and developing infrastructure, prescribing courses and syllabus, etc. The Jammu and Kashmir board conducts various exams within the state, including the Class 10 and Class 12 exams for both the Jammu division and the Kashmir division.
