J-K Government Assigns Additional Charge to Director Social Welfare…

Srinagar 10th January 2025: In a recent administrative reshuffle, Mr. Rupesh Kumar, IAS (AGMUT: 2019), currently serving as Director of Social Welfare, Jammu, has been assigned additional responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Jammu and Kashmir e-Governance Agency (JaKeGA). This decision, formalized under Government Order was issued by the General Administration Department of Jammu and Kashmir.

Mr. Kumar will now hold this charge alongside his existing duties, taking over from Shri Santosh D. Vaidya, IAS (AGMUT: 1998), who previously managed the role in addition to his responsibilities as Principal Secretary to the Finance Department.

The assignment is aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and strengthening the e-governance framework in the region. The order was issued with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor and circulated to all relevant officials and departments for implementation.
