IPL 2021: Virat Kohli gets bad news after these 2 RCB players left in middle of the tournament returning back to Australia
Royal Challengers Bangalore, led by Virat Kohli, led by the historic performance in the 14th season of the Indian Premier League, has suffered two major setbacks one after the other. In the match played on Sunday, Chennai Super Kings beat them by 69 runs. This is his first defeat in five matches of RCB this season.
The following day, two RCB veteran fast bowler Kane Richardson and spinner Adam Zampa withdrew from the tournament the next day and both Australian cricketers are now returning home.
Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson opt out of IPL 2021
Australian bowlers namely Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson have pulled out of the rest of the IPL due to personal reasons. Royal Challengers Bangalore confirmed the development via their official Twitter handle on Monday. Before this Ashwin from Delhi Capitals and Andrew Tye from Rajasthan Royals also withdrew due to personal reasons.
RCB roped in Rs 1.5 crore at the mini IPL auction whereas they bought Richardson for Rs 4 crore. The pacer Richardson played just 1 game for the franchise against Rajasthan Royals. On the other hand, Zampa couldn’t break into the playing XI this season despite the spin-friendly conditions in Chennai.
