Indian Idol 12: Mohd Danish reveals the truth behind Pawandeep Rajan and Arunita Kanjilal’s ‘Link-Up

Indian Idol 12 finalists are getting immense love from the audience. It was undoubtedly one of the most successful and longest-running seasons of the singing reality show. The show concluded on August 15 with a 12-hour long ‘Greatest Finale Ever’ in which several celebrities including Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and others performed. Even Shershaah actors Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani graced the show. The makers announced the winner live at midnight.

The Indian Idol season 12 finalists were Pawandeep Rajan, Nihal Tauro, Shanmukhapriya, Arunita Kanjilal, Sayali Kamble and Mohd Danish. This is the first time that six participants have entered the finals together. Shanmukhapriya was places 6th, Nihal 5th and Danish 4th. Sayali Kamble and Arunita Kanjilal were runner ups and Pawandeep Rajan was declared the winner of Indian Idol 12. He won Rs 25 lakh prize money and was also gifted a Swift car.

In an interview with Etimes, Mohd Danish spoke about Pawandeep and Arunita’s link up stories. He said that Pawandeep and Arunita are very good friends. He said, “They are best friends and have a fantastic bond between them. We all teeased them about their link-up. We used to tell them: Arre, Adi bhaiyya (Aditya Narayan, host) ne aaj kya bol diya! Arre, Himesh bhai (Reshammiya, judge) ne aaj kya bol diya! Bahut mazaa aata tha unko tease karne mein. (Ohh! What did Adi bhaiyya say today! What did Himesh bhai said today! It was fun to tease them.)”

Mohd Danish was also asked if Pawandeep and Arunita truly love each other. He said that he does not think so.
