Important Notification For Teaching and Other Staff of School Education Department
The School education department Of Jammu and Kashmir Granted of one-time exemption in favour of teaching/other staff of School Education Department.
According to a government Order No. 188-JK(Edu) of 2024 dated 15-03-2024 one time exemption was granted in favour of teaching/ other staff of School Education Department who have acquired higher qualification during service through distance/online mode without obtaining prior permission from the Administrative Department.
A committee was also constituted for examining and entertaining such degree/higher qualifications for the purpose of promotion or inclusion in seniority lists of those incumbents, in whose favour one-time exemption is granted, strictly as per the provisions contained in SRO-339 of 2005 read with Government Order No. 252-HE of 2012, dated 31-05-2012, Government Order No. 940-Edu of 2017, dated 17-11- 2017 and Circular Instructions issued by the Finance Department vide No. FD/Code/166/2021-03 dated 18-07-2022.
As a sequel to the above order, the CEOs were asked to submit all such cases for consideration by the Committee, and vide Letter No. DSEJ/2024/9129-39 dated 12-04-2024, the Chief Education Officers were again directed to submit such cases, complete in all aspects by 20th April, 2024, and
Whereas, it has been observed that the CEOs have yet not submitted all the cases and also that most of the cases submitted are deficient in documents, and
Accordingly, it is impressed upon all the concerned including teaching/non- teaching staff to submit their cases requiring one time exemption complete in all respects, as required under Government Order 940-Edu of 2027 dated 17-11-2017, latest by 15th of May 2024 through proper channel falling which no such cases shall be considered for one time exemption.
The CEOs shall ensure that all the cases received in their offices, are submitted to this Directorate immediately after proper scrutiny.
