Higher Edu Deptt J&K: Delegation of Drawing and Disbursing Powers for GDC

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a temporary delegation of Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) powers for the Government Degree College (GDC) Surankote. According to Government Order No. 582-JK(HE) of 2024, dated 26-12-2024, these powers are now assigned to the Principal of GDC Mendhar.

The assigned Principal will manage funds allocated to the college by the Competent Authority. This arrangement will remain effective until the reinstated Principal of GDC Surankote resumes her duties. Upon her return, the DDO powers will automatically revert to her.

This directive has been issued under the authority of Dr. Rashmi Singh, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, and disseminated for necessary action to relevant officials and departments, including the Accountant General, J&K, and Treasury Officers.

The order emphasizes smooth administration and ensures the continuation of financial operations at GDC Surankote during this temporary period.
