Saudi Arabia announced on Monday that more people will be able to perform this year’s Hajj, lifting the limit on the number of pilgrims. Not only this, Saudi Arabia has also abolished the age limit. That is, now Hajj will be like before Corona.

The ANI news agency quoted the country’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq al-Rabiyyah, as saying that the number of people participating in the Hajj this year will return to pre-pandemic levels and that there will be no age limit for Hajj pilgrims this year. There will be no limit. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia also tweeted about the age and number of Hajj pilgrims.

Arab News reported that nearly 2.5 million people participated in the Hajj in 2019. However, the number of Hajj Ikram was reduced for the next two years due to the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Earlier on January 5, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that its compatriots who wish to perform Hajj this year can apply for Hajj. Four types of Hajj packages will be available for local residents, the ministry said.
