Grand Mufti of J&K Announces Sadaqat-ul-Fitr Amount for This Year

Srinagar, March 10 – The Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir has announced that the Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (Zakat al-Fitr) amount for this year has been set at Rs. 75 per person. This obligatory charity, given before Eid al-Fitr, is meant to purify the fast and help those in need.

Sadaqat-ul-Fitr is a significant part of Islamic teachings, ensuring that every Muslim, regardless of their financial status, contributes to supporting the underprivileged. The fixed amount allows people to fulfill this religious duty conveniently.
